Despite losing the Pac-12 championship game, Arizona State can notch 11 victories for just the sixth time in program history with a win over Texas Tech tonight while Texas Tech tries to avoid losing a sixth straight game. The Sun Devils will look to snap an 0-3 Holiday Bowl record.

Arizona State will try to put a 38-14 loss to Cardinal behind it and will look to avoid going 0-4 in the Holiday Bowl, where their last loss came in 2007.

"I really thought we were going to win. I really did," said coach Todd Graham, who won Pac-12 Coach of the Year in his second season with the Sun Devils, according to ESPN. "We made mistakes and it took us a little long to make adjustments."

Texas Tech boasts the Big 12 Offensive Freshman of the Year in Baker Mayfield, who is 218-for-340 (64.1%) for 2,315 yards with 12 touchdowns and nine interceptions this season, but Mayfield announced that he intends to transfer and coach Kliff Kingsbury discussed the news with his signal caller.

"We had a good talk. He didn't give me many specifics as to why," said Kingsbury per ESPN "But he definitely emphasized that he was ready to move on."

Kingsbury will choose between Davis Webb and Michael Brewer to start the game.

Whoever is the signal caller, they'll likely be looking for wide receiver Jace Amaro, who has 98 receptions for 1,240 yards and seven scores.

Arizona State quarterback Taylor Kelly is 286-for-455 (62.9%) for 3,510 yards with 28 touchdowns and 11 picks.

Running back Marion Grice (leg) is expected to play and he has 996 rushing yards on 191 attempts while reaching the end zone 14 times.
