Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian recently spoke with one another as they strive to handle their affairs in the wake of their pending divorce.
According to E! News, the once high-profile couple remains cordial with one another and are desperately trying to figure out the "logistics" resulting from Kardashian formally filing for divorce earlier this month.
"Khloé and Lamar are still speaking on the phone," a source told E! News. "Not a lot but every so often. They are still working out some logistics and things are friendly between them. They will always have a deep affection for one another."
E! News reports chief among their concerns is the sale of the $4 million Tarzana home they once shared. The website reports the couple has already placed the property on the open market.
The source also tells E! News Odom has responded better than anticipated to the split and is doing well.
"It's been a good few weeks for him," the source told E! News. "As sad as it is that things are finally over, it's been a relief to have a conclusion to the situation. They were in limbo for a while but now the decision is made, and there is some relief that comes with that."
Odom is also reported to be hellbent on resurrecting his NBA career and is back to regularly working out. "Lamar is busy training," the source told E! News. "He is feeling fantastic physically. He is ready to play again. He should be back with a team in early January."
Kardashian, meanwhile, recently told reporters she is glad the year is nearly over.
"I love the new year, new beginnings," she said. "I need a good fresh start; I'm excited for this year to be over with...You only live once so let's make that one time perfect. We can't fix our mistakes and imperfections, so let's have fun. You get what you give out in life."
