WrestleMania 30 Rumors [VIDEO]: Rock vs. Brock Lesnar? Dwayne Johnson Discusses WrestleMania On Twitter

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson took to his official Twitter account to talk about the original plans that he and Vince McMahon had for him at WWE's WrestleMania XXX pay-per-view in New Orleans at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on April 6, and "The People's Champion" said that he was slated to face Brock Lesnar if scheduling conflicts didn't prohibit him from attending the event.

Johnson did a chat with his fans via Twitter on Tuesday with the hashtag #RockTalk, and when a user asked him whether or not he'd return for WrestleMania XXX this spring, "The Great One" revealed that he was slated to return.

Johnson said he had a plan in place for a program with Lesnar at the biggest show of the year in a rematch from their famous feud that saw Lesnar win his first WWE Championship from The Rock at SummerSlam 2002.

Johnson said that he, McMahon and Lesnar had planned out a match for this year's event, but it was well known that his acting schedule interfered with his chance to participate in the event. Johnson said a return to the squared circle at WrestleMania XXI in 2014 is always possible:

Johnson appeared at the last three WrestleMania events, starting as the guest host of the proceedings for WrestleMania XXVII in 2011 before competing against John Cena in the main event of WrestleMania XXVIII and then again last year at WrestleMania XXIX. It was rumored he may return this year, but he put an end to that on Twitter.

While The Rock won't be delivering the People's Elbow at this year's event, it has been speculated that Lesnar will go up against The Undertaker and try to put an end to "The Deadman's" undefeated WrestleMania streak.

Lesnar made his return to the WWE on Monday night's edition of Monday Night RAW, laying out Mark Henry with his patented F-5 on the floor. It has been rumored that Lesnar will undergo a feud with The Big Show that will culminate in a match at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view on Jan. 26 live from the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh.

After the feud with Show, it is expected that The Undertaker will be ready for a return to build up a program with Lesnar leading into WrestleMania XXX.

While many returns and surprises are expected for WrestleMania XXX, the Mercedes-Benz Superdome won't smell what The Rock is cooking.
