Kyrie Irving Knee Injury? Cavs Star Hears 'Pop,' MRI Scheduled [VIDEO]

Kyrie Irving is scheduled to have an MRI on his left knee Wednesday after hearing "something pop" during the team's 91-76 loss to Indiana.

Initially, Irving was cleared to return to the game but later told Ohio.com his knee still felt weak and "I thought the worst had happened. My left knee is pretty weak right now. I was falling all over the place. I didn't have my legs under me."

Irving was injured while driving to the basket in the third quarter. He was able to gingerly walk to the bench, before being helped to the locker room.

"I'm still hoping that there's nothing wrong, just something slight, if anything at all," Irving told the website. "Just hoping for the best."

Irving has already missed 38 games over his first two NBA seasons dealing with various injuries. He recently told reporters one of his goals this season was to play in all 82 games.

The injury couldn't come at a worst time for the struggling Cavs, who have lost six straight, their longest losing streak of the season, and have dropped eight of their last nine games.

The team has recently been rumored to be in talks with the Lakers about acquiring forward Pau Gasol.
