Goodbye, Mack Brown; hello, Charlie Strong?
According to two Texas Longhorns news websites, the school will lure away Strong from Louisville and name him head coach.
Horns247 was the first to report the hiring, as tweeted by Bobby Burton.
From @BobbyBurton247: "A high-ranking Texas official tells Horns247 that Charlie Strong will be next head coach of Longhorns. First reported by Horns247."
He later tweeted that "According to high-ranking Texas official, Strong and #Texas have 'agreed on terms'.
Orangebloods.com's Chip Brown, who was the first to report that Brown was stepping down last month after 16 years at Texas, also tweeted the news, according to CollegeSpun.com.

According to the Houston Chronicle, the Austin American-Statesman also has reported that Strong has been offered the position and "appears ready to accept."
Strong has compiled a 37-15 record in four years at Louisville, including a 23-3 mark the last two seasons and a BCS victory from the 2013 Sugar Bowl. The Cardinals were 12-1 this season with a 36-9 win over Miami in the Russell Athletic (Citrus) Bowl.
Yahoo! Sports' Pat Forde tweeted shortly after the initial reports that Strong has not yet been offered the job.

ESPN.com has also said no formal offer has come yet, but interestingly added that Strong will accept the job:
