WWE Spoilers [VIDEO]: Hulk Hogan WWE Return? 'Hulkster' Denies Reports He Was Backstage in Las Vegas For WWE Network Announcement

The WWE made its long-awaited announcement that the WWE Network will launch in February on Wednesday night in Las Vegas, and while many WWE Legends appeared, such as "Stone Cold' Steve Austin and "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, rumors circulated that WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan was behind the scenes, though "The Hulkster" denied it on Twitter.

Following a false report that Hogan was backstage at the WWE's SmackDown tapings Tuesday night in Philadelphia, the Wrestling Observer reported that Hogan was seen in Las Vegas behind the scenes when the WWE made their "groundbreaking" announcement about the WWE Network.

Wrestlingheadlines.com then confirmed the report, saying that Hogan was backstage hanging out with The Big Show while the announcement was happening.

According to the report by Wrestlingheadlines.com, this was not a random visit as the WWE was well aware ever since Monday that Hogan would be on hand when the announcement was made. Hogan also told people close to him that he would be in Las Vegas to attend the event.

Hogan sent out a tweet to deny the reports, but most implications are that he was there and said he was at the beach:

The reason Hogan wasn't on camera and didn't speak at the event is because he is still engaged with the WWE in talks about a return to the company for WrestleMania XXX.

There have been different reports regarding what Hogan's role would be at the biggest event in WWE history on April 6 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, but the internal feeling has been that Hogan would be there when the event takes place this spring.

Some plans have called for Hogan to team up with John Cena to take on "The Real Americans" Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro, however even though the WWE would like to have Hogan wrestle, his age and injury limitations may lead to him not being able to pass the necessary medical tests to compete.

Reports have surfaced that "Rowdy" Roddy Piper wants to be involved with Hogan at WrestleMania XXX to play off of the WrestleMania I main event in 1985 when the two were on opposite teams. The report said that Piper and Hogan may team up to take on The Real Americans, Hogan and Piper may go one-on-one in a legends match or Hogan and Cena will team up to take on Piper and another heel.

It remains to be seen what Hogan's role at the show will be, but reports of him being backstage at the WWE Network announcement is a good sign that 'Hulkamania' will run wild at WrestleMania XXX.
