L.A. police are investigating Kanye West after he allegedly punched a teenager at a Beverly Hills chiropractor's office after the youth referred to fiancee Kim Kardashian as a "ni**** lover."
According to the New York Daily News, the 18-year-old alleged victim later filed a misdemeanor battery complaint with the LAPD after the notoriously hot-headed hip hop star reportedly punched him in the arm after being summoned to the scene by a flustered Kardashian.
The newspaper reports the scene unfolded when Kardashian arrived at the building that houses the doctor's officer at around noon and the man held a door open for her. As he noticed her being tailed by the paparazzi, the man hurled the racial insult in Kardashian's direction.
The News adds The Keeping Up With The Kardashians reality TV star initially scolded the teen herself, but after he launched into a tirade that included such taunts as "f**k you, b**ch, just trying to help you. Shut up, ni**** lover and stupid slut," she called West, who reportedly was already nearby.
Reports are West then rushed to scene and he and Kardashian confronted the teen in the waiting room, where she could be overheard screaming "we have it all on tape."
The News adds West then allegedly punched the man and the two had to be separated by an office worker. Police were then called, but by the time they arrived West had already left the scene.
"Kanye was named as a suspect by the victim as well as witnesses," Beverly Hills Police Sgt. George DeMarois told The News. "He had left prior to our arrival, and detectives are currently investigating."
