Lamar Odom To Clippers? Los Angeles Signs Hedo Turkoglu, Odom No Longer In Plans? [VIDEO]

The L.A. Clippers have signed journeyman forward Hedo Turkoglu, seemingly ending their ongoing flirtation with former NBA Sixth Man of the Year Award winner Lamar Odom.

According to CBSSports.com, terms of the deal with Turkoglu, who was recently waived by the Orlando Magic, were undisclosed but the veteran forward is expected to officially join the team by week's end.

Turkoglu last appeared in a Magic game in 2013, a season where he averaged 2.9 points and 2.4 rebounds per game in 11 games. The 34-year-old forward has career averages of 11.9 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 897 games.

Turkoglu's best season came in 2009, when he was instrumental in leading the Magic to the NBA Finals. On the strength of that run, he signed a massive, free-agent deal with Toronto before being traded to Phoenix and then back to Orlando in the same season.

For weeks now, the Clippers, who are with All-Star guard Chris Paul for the next several weeks with a shoulder injury, had been rumored to be in informal talks with Odom about a possible return. The 34-year-old veteran spent last season in L.A. but fall out of favor over the summer amid persistent reports of his hardcore drug addiction.

Odom and his reality TV wife Khloe Kardashian also recently announced their split, with the 29-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashian star formally filing for divorce on Dec. 13.
