Juan Manuel Marquez Next Fight Marcos Maidana Or Shawn Porter? JMM: 'Nothing To Gain' From Fighting Manny Pacquiao, 'Siberian Rocky' Ruslan Provodnikov [VIDEO]

Juan Manuel Marquez is pining for a rematch with Timothy "Desert Storm" Bradley after Bradley defeated him in October of 2013, but it doesn't appear he'll be able to get it. Marquez has been very choosy with other candidates, dismissing Manny Pacquiao, Ruslan Provodnikov, and Mike Alvarado for a number of reasons.

Marquez feels he's "closed the chapter" on his rivalry with Pacquiao by knocking him out cold in the sixth round of their December 2012 battle. As for Provodnikov and Alvarado, they don't present enough upside, according to "Dinamita."

"Neither Alvarado nor Provodnikov are in my plans. I'm going forward. They are great fighters, and I'm not putting them down, but I gain nothing by fighting with them. If I beat Provodnikov I win a title that was already mine and Alvarado is not a champion. I have nothing to prove. I want a fifth world title and that's my goal," Marquez said.

According to reports Marquez is considering stepping in the ring with two champions-IBF welterweight champion Shawn Porter, and newly minted WBA champion Marcos Maidana.

"My career is all about challenges," Marquez said. "Right now the challenge is to get a fifth title. And if I cannot get a fight for the title under the World Boxing Organization, there are others. I have to see the possibilities and if the opportunity opens why not go and get it? There is the International Boxing Federation, the World Boxing Association, and the World Boxing Council."

Maidana is an unlikely opponent anytime soon, as he's locked into a rematch with Adrien Broner set for April. Porter, the IBF champion, is a fighter who has a hot name right now, and is eager to prove himself against such an established veteran.

"I'd take that fight in a heartbeat," Porter said. "I have what it takes to beat him, I think my youth is on my side, and me understanding that he's a lot older with more experience is on my side as well."
