NBA veteran Metta World Peace insists ex-heavyweight boxing champ Larry Holmes is "bringing down the black community" with his criticism of Floyd "Money" Mayweather.
According to TMZ, World Peace is outraged over Holmes recent comments to Sky sports Ringside where he charges "Mayweather is crazy" and his irresponsible ways will ultimately lead to him blowing through the small fortune he's amassed as a five division boxing champion.
With that, World Peace took to Twitter, where he blasted Holmes and instructed "Latty Holmes should never call out another product if slave in public." World Peace later added "our community was not fortunate to have finance savvy parents. With that said, instead guys like Larry Holmes bringing down, he should uplift the ghettos."
World Peace didn't finish there, later adding "people like Larry should be retrieving lost and burnt Black history in Black History books rather than bringing down Black Legends. Support and Love is better than hate. Loving your neighbor is better than War... Written by Metta the Hood Hippie."
World Peace remains sidelined for the Knicks with a left knee injury for which he recently underwent a platelet-rich plasma treatment for.
