Carmelo Anthony's celebrity wife is complaining she has to buy her New York Knicks tickets to see her All-Star husband perform at Madison Square Garden.
In yet another sign of just how dysfunctional things have grown within the organization, LaLa Anthony tells TMZ she has to shell out big bucks anytime she wants to take in a Knicks game. Typically in NBA circles, players are comped an allotment of tickets for family and friends in various sections of the arena.
TMZ adds, in some cases, guests of superstar players such as Kobe Bryant and LeBron James are granted freebies closer to courtside.
Indeed, the bad PR hits keep on coming for the struggling Knicks, who just hours before Anthony made her shocking revelation were faced with the indignation of reserve guard Beno Udrih going public with his trade demands.
That came on the heels of Anthony lamenting how the Knicks didn't fight at all in their 103-80 loss to cross-borough rival Brooklyn on Monday and All-Star center Tyson Chandler jabbing coach Mike Woodson by proclaiming the Knicks were "out-schemed" by the Nets.
Despite having one of the league's highest payrolls, the Knicks are now 15-26 and tied with Cleveland as the tenth seed in the Eastern Conference.
