Tom Brady Super Bowl Divorce: Brady Refuses To Watch Title Game He Thinks He Should Be Playing [VIDEO]

Tom Brady is divorcing himself from the 2013 NFL season.

During Brady's well-known interview with WEEI radio in Boston - in which he called out Seattle Seahawks defensive back Richard Sherman, saying, "We win with graciousness, and when we lose, we can do better" - the New England Patriots quarterback also said that he has no plans of being in front of a television on the night of Feb. 2.

That happens to be the date of Super Bowl XLVIII between the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks. The Broncos knocked out the Patriots 26-16 in the AFC Championship Game last weekend, and Brady's season ended there in every conceivable way.

According to NFL.SI.com, Brady opted out of the Pro Bowl earlier in the week, being replaced by the Kansas City Chiefs' Alex Smith. And the thought of watching the Super Bowl isn't exactly appealing to the quarterback who has made five previous Super Bowl appearances.

"Those games are hard to watch," Brady said. "I don't really see myself sitting down to enjoy a football game to watch it. Our season's over. Truthfully, I (couldn't) care less about watching the game. That's pretty much how I feel."

It's an attitude that endears Brady to Patriots fans and alienates him from New England haters. But it also explains his outlook on the just-completed Patriots season.

"I think there's a lot to be gained by seasons like this," Brady told WEEI. "You see players that have really emerged to become dependable players for our team and there's a lot of things to be gained from it. But at the same time we're not here - I think we've established a certain level of play that we're not satisfied unless we're the last team standing."
