Tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET, the WWE holds its 27th annual Royal Rumble pay-per-view live from the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, highlighted by the 30-man over-the-top-rope Royal Rumble match where the winner goes on to face the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XXX. It's one of the most exciting nights of the year for the WWE as the road to WrestleMania officially kicks off with the Royal Rumble. The 30-man over-the-top-rope Royal Rumble match is the main event of the evening and one man will be left standing at the end and take his rightful place headlining WrestleMania XXX.
The participants in the match include CM Punk, Batista, Alberto Del Rio, Cody Rhodes, Goldust, Rey Mysterio, Big E Langston, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Erick Rowan, Luke Harper, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, The Miz, Kofi Kingston, R-Truth, Xavier Woods, Fandango and Damien Sandow. Punk will be the No.1 entrant while the rest of the field is a mystery.
The WWE World Heavyweight Championship will be up for grabs as well tonight when Randy Orton defends his title against John Cena for the richest prize in the game.
In other action, Brock Lesnar takes on The Big Show one-on-one while Daniel Bryan battles Bray Wyatt in a singles match. In the Royal Rumble kick-off show, The New Age Outlaws take on Cody Rhodes and Goldust for the WWE Tag Team Championships.
