The WWE presented it's 27th annual Royal Rumble pay-per-view live from the Consol Energy Center tonight and in the end Batista stood tall in the 30-man over-the-top-rope Royal Rumble match.

"The Animal" Batista picked up his second Rumble match win when he last elimnated Roman Reigns, and he will go on to WrestleMania XXX to wrestle the champion in the main event. Sheamus and Kevin Nash were surprise entrants in the match, and Sheamus lasted into the final three in the match. CM Punk came in as the No.1 entrant but was eliminated late when Kane came back in and threw him out before slamming him through a table.

Randy Orton retained his WWE Championship against John Cena after The Wyatt Family cost Cena the match, setting up what is presumed to be a Cena and Bray Wyatt match at WrestleMania XXX.

In other action, Bray Wyatt defeated Daniel Bryan via Sister Abigail while Brock Lesnar pinned The Big Show after hitting him with the F5.

The WWE Tag Team Championships changed hands as The New Age Outlaws defeated Cody Rhodes and Goldust.
