Aaron Hernandez Murder Case Update: NFL Vet Pleads The Fifth In Florida Shooting Of Alexander Bradley [VIDEO]

Aaron Hernandez plans to invoke his fifth amendment rights against self-incrimination in response to a federal lawsuit filed by a one-time associate claiming the former New England Patriot tight end shot him in the face outside a Miami strip club.

According to FirstCoastNews.com, lawyers for Hernandez on Wednesday formally filed their client's response to the suit filed by 30-year-old Alexander Bradley, who further claims he partially lost his sight stemming from the attack.

The website adds Bradley claims Hernandez shot him after they quarreled at the club. Bradley is seeking at least $100,000 in damages.

A Miami judge previously denied Hernandez's request to delay the Florida proceedings until a pending murder charge against him is rendered. Hernandez was charged in late June with first-degree murder in the execution-style slaying of another former associate, 27-year-old Odin Lloyd.

Lloyd's body was found less than a mile from the former Florida star's North Attleborough mansion and authorities have speculated he may have killed Lloyd based on his knowledge of other violent crimes Hernandez is alleged to have been involved in.

Hernandez remains jailed without bond and relegated to solitary confinement at the Bristol County Jail.
