Carmelo Anthony La La: 'Melo Backs Up Wife's Claim He Wants To Stay In New York [VIDEO]

Carmelo Anthony insists he supports his wife's assertions this week that she feels he will resign with the New York Knicks when he is slated to become a free agent this summer.

"I definitely think he will stay," La La Anthony told Bravo Network earlier this week while appearing on air to promote her new book "The Love Playbook."

On Tuesday, the high-scoring forward told Newsday "that's my wife. I support her. I support what she said. I don't think she said anything wrong. It's a good thing for her to say that. Go get the book."

There has been growing speculation Anthony might be interested in teaming with Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah in Chicago and playing for hard-driving coach Tom Thibodeau.

"Not at all," Anthony told Newsday when asked if he's given any thought to the prospect of heading North to Chicago. "I don't have one," he added of his rumored relationship with Team USA assistant coach Thibodeau. "That was a good one."

Despite Anthony carrying much of the load, the Knicks have struggled mightily this season. With Anthony averaging 27 points and nine rebounds, the Knicks have struggled to an 18-27 start and are currently the No. 10 seed in the Eastern Conference.
