Wrestlemania 30 Rumors, WWE Spoilers: Sting Signing Near as Raw General Manager? [VIDEO]

With rumors swirling around regarding possible Wrestlemania 30 matches, one buzz that has caught the attention of hardcore wrestling fans is the possibility that Sting - perhaps the greatest wrestler who has never stepped inside a WWE ring - will finally be signing a deal with Vince McMahon's company.

Citing a report by F4W Newsletter, Bleacher Report is saying that WWE management is expecting to sign Sting anytime now, and that the tentative plan for the veteran star is not to make him a full-time wrestler but as the Raw general manager instead.

The said report states: "As far as we know Sting has not signed at press time, but the feeling is it's a foregone conclusion he's coming in. The feeling is that he won't be rushed into a match at WrestleMania, and we're told the working idea right now is for him to perhaps be the new Raw General Manager."

Sting is easily the biggest star in wrestling to have never been employed by Vince McMahon, so it is interesting how he will be used by the WWE. His age could prevent him from becoming a full-time ring combatant, yet as Bleacher Report speculates he could be used as a baby face authority to rival the villainous tandem of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

Sting is considered the franchise of WCW, WWE's main competitor until it was bought by Vince McMahon in 2001. After the demise of the company, Sting spent his time with TNA where he also played as an authoritarian figure.
