Tim Tebow, RG3 Spent Time Hanging Out Together During Super Bowl Week? Tebowmania On Washington Redskins Radar? [VIDEO]

Robert Griffin III and Tim Tebow spent time over Super Bowl weekend hanging out together in New York, according to the Washington Post.

The two Heisman Trophy-winning quarterbacks were spotted together at a league-sponsored event of some sort where the newspaper reports several of RGIII's other Washington Redskins teammates were also present.

Over the weekend, NFL.com reported Redskins backup quarterback Kirk Cousins has told the team he wants to be traded, fueling speculation among some that RGIII and Tebow could soon be spending a lot more time together as teammates.

Currently, Tebow is out of the league and working an ESPN college football analyst. He last played for the Jets in 2012, but has maintained he hopes to get another chance to play in the league. The 26-year-old former Florida star had his best NFL season in 2011 when he passed for 1,729 yards and 12 touchdowns in leading the Denver Broncos to a 7-4 record.

It's been an off-season of turmoil for the Redskins, who earlier this winter fired coach Mike Shanahan amid a power struggle about the direction of the team's offense with Griffin. The team later named Jay Gruden its new coach.
