Tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET, the Ottawa Senators (24-21-11, 59 points) and St. Louis Blues (37-12-5, 79 points) faceoff live from the Scottrade Center in St. Louis for the second and final meeting against each other this season. The game can be live streamed here. Ottawa fans can hear all of the action on TSN 1200 while St. Louis fans can do the same on KMOX 1120.
Ottawa has lost two in a row and three out of its last five while St. Louis has won four of its last five. The first time these two teams met, the Senators defeated the Blues 3-2 in overtime on Dec. 16 in Ottawa.
The Blues play three tough teams starting tonight with Ottawa, after which they play the Boston Bruins and Winnipeg Jets.
"We have three tough opponents coming in here," Blues defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. "Ottawa, there's a little bit of a bad taste in our month from them."
The Senators are coming off of a 2-1 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Monday night in an effort that made coach Paul MacLean happy.
"We had a lot of guys that played real well," MacLean said via NHL.com. "I thought our competition level was good, and when you get to overtime against [the Penguins], things can go wrong in a hurry and they did."
The Senators have been led by Erik Karlsson, who has 51 points off of 13 goals and 38 assists while Bobby Ryan has 20 markers and 22 helpers for 42 points and Kyle Turris and Clarke MacArthur have each lit the lamp 18 times and added 24 assists for 42 points.
Alex Steen paces the Blues with 45 points off of 27 goals and 18 assists while T.J. Oshie has 12 tallies and 31 helpers for 43 points and David Backes has found the twine 19 times and added 22 helpers for 41 points.
Jaroslav Halak will likely start between the pipes for St. Louis, and is 23-8-3 with a 2.22 goals-against average and a .915 save percentage while Craig Anderson may start for Ottawa and is 18-11-8 with a 3.04 GAA and a .908 save percentage.
The Blues and Senators go head-to-head when the puck drops tonight at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis.
