Speculation is running rampant San Francisco 49ers star quarterback Colin Kaepernick might be gay after he was captured in several "cozy and comfortable" photos with a openly gay performer during Super Bowl week.
According to Queerty.com, Kaepernick and DJ Luis Perez took several pictures together at the Sports Illustrated Super Bowl party in Atlanta that Perez later posted on Facebook under the caption "Super Bowl 2014 #goodtobebad with Colin Kaepernick."
The website reports Perez now works as a DJ at several local gay clubs. Queerty adds rumors have long abound that Kaepernick instantly dumped his then girlfriend when he signed his huge deal with the Niners in 2012.
More recently, he was briefly linked to actress Sanaa Lathan. The 26-year-old second-year quarterback was also recently named GQ magazine's "most stylish man in the NFL" and post nude in an ESPN Magazine The Body Issue.
Behind Kaepernick, the 49ers came within a Richard Sherman interception of one of his end zone pass intended for receiver Michael Crabtree of making their second straight Super Bowl this year.
Overall, Kaepernick passed for 3,197 yards and 21 touchdowns in leading San Francisco. He also rushed for 524 yards and another four scores.
