NBA veteran Daniel "Bobbie" Gibson's estranged wife owes the IRS more than $162,000 in back taxes and faces a federal tax lien in Georgia.
According to RadarOnline.com, the government claims the R&B star failed to pay taxes for the year 2009. That same year, Cole headlined the lucrative A Different Me Tour along with TLC, Lil Kim and The Dream.
The website adds the lien was filed on Nov. 25 of last year and in documents issued to the 32-year-old singer the IRS warns it will seize her property if the debt is not paid off.
"We have made a demand for payment of this liability, but it remains unpaid," Radar reports the the documents state. "Therefore, there is a lien in favor of the United States on all property and rights to property belonging to this taxpayer for the amount of the taxes and additional penalties, interest and costs that may accrue."
Meanwhile, Gibson and Cole continue to wage a public and bitter breakup that appears headed for divorce court. Several media outlets reported Cole took to Twitter this week to ridicule her husband and his "mistress stripper."
In one post, Cole taunted the woman "U can have him."
