Sochi Problems Persist: Bobsled Athletes Report Two More Incidents Involving Conditions at Olympic Village During 2014 Winter Games [VIDEO]

Another day in Sochi, another report - or two - of the accommodations issues Olympians are experiencing.

Affiliates of Sports Illustrated reported two separate issues involving athletes at the Olympic Village. First, former professional football player-turned Olympic bobsledder Johnny Quinn was scheduled to appear on the Today Show on Saturday, according to extramustard.si.com.

After taking a shower, he tried to leave his bathroom, only to discover the door was locked, fansided.com reported. Unable to call for help, Quinn tweeted that he was forced to use his bobsled push skills to escape. The tweet included a photo of a rather large hole in the door that Quinn made for his escape.

"..With no phone to call for help, I used my bobsled push training to break out. #SochiJailBreak," Quinn tweeted.

According to extramustard.com, Quinn made it to his interview on time.

Meanwhile, brakewoman Rebekah Wilson of Great Britain had left her room and pushed the call button for the elevator so she could exit the Olympic Village, as told by another extramustard.com article.

It was a good thing for Wilson that she was paying attention - the elevator doors opened and there was no elevator car - only an empty shaft.

She, too, took to Twitter to relay her brush with death:

"Wowzers! @paulawalkerGB nearly didn't have her brakewomen after walking out into this!"

The incidents may not go away, but Sochi Olympic officials could be banking on the hope that as the drama of competition continues to grow, the reports of the embarrassing conditions for guests at the Winter Olympics will dwindle.
