Kobe Bryant's knee to be reexamined after All-Star break, still plans to return this season [VIDEO]

Kobe Bryant's focus remains unchanged and the L.A. Lakers star guard still sees himself returning to action from a left knee injury at some point this season.

According to ESPN, Bryant is scheduled to medically evaluated after the All-Star Game break and a course of action will then be charted. Bryant has missed the Lakers last 26 games.

"My plan hasn't changed," he told ESPN at an event to promote his newest signature sneaker, the Nike Kobe 9 Elite Masterpiece. "I'm just going about it every single day just trying to get better. That's my job. My job is to get my butt back out there on the court when I'm healthy enough to play and that hasn't changed."

Bryant suffered a fracture of the lateral tibial plateau in his left knee on Dec. 17 and has been sidelined ever since. Up to then, he was averaging 13.8 points, 6.3 assists and 4.3 rebounds on 43 percent shooting. He sat out the team's first 19 games recovering from offseason surgery for a torn Achilles in his left leg.

"Play like me," Bryant told ESPN upon being peppered with questions about what he expects from himself whenever he is able to return. "That's it."

Bryant recently pronounced his Achilles was feeling great, but added "it's the worst injury to get."
