Gerorge Zimmerman chased out of Florida, fears bounty placed on his head? [VIDEO]

A threatening crowd and rumors of a bounty being placed on his head caused George Zimmerman to go fleeing from Miami after taking part in a controversial interview related to him being the triggerman in the death of local teen Trayvon Martin.

According to TMZ, Zimmerman, his girlfriend, her child and his brother all went to the beach to catch some sun following his CNN interview, during which he also alleged he is a scapegoat of President Barack Obama, and were literally chased from the scene.

TMZ reports a crowd quickly gathered around Zimmerman and someone even shouted that there was a $10,000 bounty on his head. Reportedly, Zimmerman became so freaked out he quickly retreated to his hotel room and began packing.

Security later swept Zimmerman and all his acquaintances' rooms for threats, then stood guard outside until they left later in the night.

A self-appointed neighborhood watchman, Zimmerman remains a controversial figure after shooting and killing Martin in early 2012 just steps away from his father's gated community home. Though he was acquitted of murder charges, Zimmerman admitted he ignored a police dispatcher's stern admonishment not to follow the teen and continued to do so because he thought he looked suspicious, simply because he was wearing a hoodie.
