Warren went 3-2 with a 3.39 ERA for the Yankees last season while Scherzer is the 2013 American League Cy Young Award winner and had a league-leading 21 wins with eight losses alongside a 2.90 ERA last season.

The Yankees continue to show off their offseason imports as centerfielder Jacoby Ellsbury will leadoff, rightfielder Carlos Beltran will bat third and Brian McCann will hit cleanup and play behind the plate

McCann hit .256 with 20 homers and 57 RBIs for the Atlanta Braves last year.

After going 0-for-2 in Thursday's game, Derek Jeter will sit in favor of Brendan Ryan as he continues the final spring training of his career.

Jeter said he realizes how important he is to the team even this late in his career.

"I've always been an important part of the team," Jeter said, after the Yankees dropped an 8-2 decision to the Pirates via the New York Post. "I've never gone into the season thinking I wasn't important. I understand that my job is important. If I ever felt that I wasn't important, then I would have left a long time ago."
