Aaron Hernandez News Update: Police Continue To Search Tattoo Related Clues In Two Murder Cases Against NFL Vet [VIDEO]

Prosecutors are continuing to search for any tattoo artists who may have done recent work on former NFL star Aaron Hernandez.

According to NBCSports.com, authorities remain convinced the former New England Patriots star tight end's avalanche of body art offer some clues into the two separate first-degree murder cases he now faces.

The website adds much of Hernandez's upper body is covered with such tats as the open-mouthed face of a lion on his right bicep, ringed by the words "it's about the fight in you." On his fingers, inked is "1989," his birth year and the phrase "if it is to be it is up to me," a favorite saying of his father, runs down his left forearm.

But what does it all mean? NBC reports investigators have zeroed in on Hernandez's right forearm, though publicly prosecutors have been mum about exactly which design they are most interested in learning more about.

The 24-year-old Hernandez has been jailed without bail for nearly a year now in the execution-style killing one one-time associate Odin Lloyd. Since recovering the 27-year-old Lloyd's bullet-riddled body less than a mile from Hernandez's North Attleborough mansion, police have speculated he may have killed Lloyd because of his knowledge about other violent crimes he is suspected of having been involved in.

More recently, Hernandez was also indicted in the 2012, drive-by, double-slaying of two men outside a downtown Boston nightclub.

NBC adds recent photos of Hernandez show he has five stars tattooed across his right forearm, which some crime experts insist can be representative of killings one may have been involved in.

"I would say the cops probably see the stars and know in some circles that a star does represent a kill and want a tattoo artist to come in and see if Hernandez said anything about that," said Kevin Waters, a criminal justice professor at Northern Michigan University and former agent with the federal Drug Enforcement Administration.
