Former Seattle Seahawks fullback Michael Robinson believes that starting running back Marshawn Lynch will hold out of training camp as he seeks a new contract.
Robinson, one of Lynch’s closest friends, appeared on the NFL Network Thursday night and said Lynch just wants a recognition from the franchise for his efforts.
"I really think he just wants his position in the organization and how they view him, he just wants that recalibrated a little bit," Robinson said on the NFL Network. "He's been the face of the franchise, he's been the face of the organization.”
Lynch wants more money up front and is scheduled to make $5 million this coming season and $5.5 million in 2015. Lynch attended the Seahawks minicamp last month as an action of good faith that Seattle would open up negotiations.

The 28-year-old Lynch will lose $30,000 for each day of camp he misses and will lose a part of his $6 million signing bonus if he misses more than five days. Robinson said he expects Lynch to play football this season, but wasn't sure what contract he will be participating under.
"I think Marshawn will be playing football this year. I don't know how they're going to get it done, I don't know how they're going to make it work, but that team is not the championship team that they can be without 'Beast Mode,'" Robinson said.
Lynch has been the Seahawks workhorse ever since joining the team in 2010. Since 2011, Lynch has put together 4,051 yards on 901 carries and 39 touchdowns.
