OnePlus 3 gave a tough competition to iPhone 7 and now it's time for a battle between OnePlus 5 and iPhone 8. OnePlus will launch OnePlus 5 instead of OnePlus 4 later this year and Apple iPhone 8 will be launched sometime later in September this year.
Apple released iPhone 7 and 7 Plus and OnePlus released OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T last year and all were great hits.Tech giant Apple is working on three new models this year, out of which two will be the successor of 7 and 7 Plus and the other one will be the Apple's tenth-anniversary phone, currently predicted as iPhone 8.
As written in Gizbot, the leaks suggest that iPhone 8 will arrive with a glass body and wireless charging feature. It will also sport a curved AMOLED display like Galaxy S7 Edge and an on-screen fingerprint sensor. So, there will be no home button like traditional iPhones. OnePlus 5 is also said to feature a 5.5-inch dual-curved edge AMOLED display.
According to Telegiz, OnePlus 5 will be powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 835 processor while iPhone 8 will sport an Apple A11 or A11 Fusion chip. Like its predecessor, OnePlus 5 is expected to feature 6 GB RAM only as it is still best in the market or there could be an 8 GB RAM to surprise everyone. Apple iPhones do not feature big RAM like android devices, so iPhone 8 is expected to use 2 GB RAM.
Apple iPhone 8 will run iOS 11 while OnePlus 5 will run on Android 7 Nougat. There will be different storage options varying from 32 GB to 256 GB in these phones.
Apple iPhone 8 is said to feature a 12 MP dual-lens camera with 4K video recording. KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said in a report that iPhone 8 would come with a revolutionary front-facing camera with an infrared sensor that is capable of sensing 3D space. OnePlus 5 will arrive with a 23-megapixel rear camera and 16-megapixel front camera. It will be powered by 4,000 mAh battery.
Apple iPhone 8 is expected to cost around $1,000 and there is no prediction of the cost of OnePlus 5. Android lovers will definitely go for OnePlus 5 while Apple fans will choose iPhone 8 over OnePlus flagship.
