Damian Lillard continues to wait for where he will play for the 2023-24 NBA season, with the Portland Trail Blazers still discussing with several teams.

One team that has reportedly explored Damian Lillard's trade possibilities is the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Sixers allegedly spoke with Portland this offseason, but it appears these discussions have hardly gone beyond exploratory talks, Kyle Neubeck of PHLY Sports pointed out on the PHLY Sixers podcast.

"Here's what I can tell you that I know for sure. I know that the Sixers have certainly talked to the Blazers about Dame at different points throughout this offseason," the scribe stated.

Unfortunately, the Sixers were already mentioned as a team that was not a preferred destination by the seven-time All-Star.

Philly is now dealing with its problems, finding James Harden a new home. The 2018 NBA MVP, like Lillard, is looking to move to another team, with the Los Angeles Clippers named as "The Beard's" preferred destination, Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports reported.

Clippers explored Lillard trade, too

Ironically, the Clippers allegedly also explored Damian Lillard trade scenarios. This was according to host Danny Marang in a recent episode of 1080 The Fan's Danny and Dusty show.

However, it was added that any Clippers move for Lillard will likely require the aid of multiple teams.

A reason for this is that the trade demands of the Trail Blazers are anchored on a star-level player, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported.
