Russell Wilson baseball [VIDEO]: Seahawks QB says 'never say never' about career with the Texas Rangers

Russell Wilson has already won the Super Bowl in just his second year with the Seattle Seahawks, and now the quarterback may have aspirations of winning a World Series with the Texas Rangers. On Monday Wilson wouldn't rule out becoming a two-sport superstar.

"You never say never," Wilson said after a full day at spring training with the Rangers in Arizona, according to ESPN. "I've always had the dream of playing two sports. If somehow it was a miracle that it could work out, I'd consider it. At the same time, my focus is winning the championship with the Seattle Seahawks and hope to be playing for a long time."

According to the report, Wilson who is an infielder and has been playing baseball since he was four, showed up at 7 a.m. and worked on a few things with Rangers manager Ron Washington, who was impressed with him.

"If he continued to work and get the repetition, he could probably be as good as he is a football player," Washington said per ESPN.

Washington was surprised by the athleticism of Wilson.

"He surprised me for not being out on the baseball field for a while," Washington told ESPN. "I might have burned his legs up a little bit, but he made it through all the drills and did a fantastic job. He's got tremendous aptitude. That's why he is who he is. You give him something, and he knows how to apply it."

The Rangers brought in the 25-year-old quarterback to teach their young players about giving it their all and how to be successful. Wilson had a talk with the team's minor leaguers Monday night.

"He said he really had that self-motivation to always get better and be a great athlete and a person," said outfielder Michael Choice. "I want to apply that to what I'm doing. He has the whole package. It was worth hearing."

Wilson went 257-for-407 (63.1%) for 3,357 yards with 26 touchdowns and nine interceptions for the Seahawks in the regular season en route to leading the team to its first Super Bowl championship in franchise history.

Whether or not he ever decides to strive for a World Series trophy remains to be seen, but if the comments from the Rangers coming out of camp Monday are any indication, they'd welcome him with open arms.
