NBA rumors: Allen Iverson set to reconcile with estranged wife, couple in 'happy place' now? [VIDEO]

Allen Iverson has reconciled with the mother of his five children to the point she now feels both of them can operate effectively co-parent their five children.

According to TMZ.com, Tawanna Iverson believes the two finally came together after a recent heart-to-heart talk about their relationship, which has existed in some form since the two were in high school. Tawanna Iverson filed for divorce from her husband in 2011.

Iverson took special measures to make sure he thanked his ex-wife during his recent jersey retirement ceremony by the Philadelphia 76ers, prompting a nasty custody battle that led to her accusing the NBA legend of being an alcoholic and trying to "screw" her our out of money for their children.

Still, Iverson declared "she'll always be my favorite person in the world" during his retirement ceremony. Iverson added I give her "props for helping me grow as a man and taking care of me throughout my career and always being by my side and loving me."

"We've known each other since we were 16 years old ... and we have five kids together. So, we have to do what's best for our kids."

Later Tawanna Iverson told TMZ, "we'll always have a connection with each other. We've known each other since were 16 years old... and we have five kids together. So, we have to do what's best for our kids."

While TMZ stressed it's unclear if the two will fully get "back together," but for now they're on good terms. "We'll always have a connection with each other," Tawanna Iverson told TMZ, noting that she we're in a "happy" place.
