Chris Bosh to retire? Heat star planning retirement from Miami Heat within six years? [VIDEO]

The countdown is on for Chris Bosh.

The Miami Heat star and back-to-back NBA camp has let it be known he plans to walk away from the game over the next six years.

According to ESPN, Bosh "wants to play until he's 36, then walk away from the game to do other things." The now 29-year-old Bosh broached the subject while in San Antonio to face the Spurs and the issue of Tim Duncan's lasting longevity came to the forefront.

"No one loves to play basketball more than I do," Bosh told ESPN. "But I could honestly see myself maybe stopping a little earlier or maybe premature just because I hate to miss anything with my kids. I would hate for my kids to recall those special moments in their life and I wasn't there."

Bosh. LeBron James and Dwyane Wade & Company are in the midst of seeking to become the first team in nearly two decades to earn an NBA three-peat, joining Michael Jordan's Bulls and Kobe Bryant's Lakers.

The 11-year veteran is averaging 17 points, seven rebounds, three steals and a block a game for the Heat this season. Bosh's best statistical season in Miami came in 2010-11 when he averaged 19 points and eight rebounds.
