Detroit Lions rumors: Former Lions player hired as a hit man for a skincare specialist?

An unnamed former Detroit Lions football player is reportedly suspected of being the hit man in a Hollywood murder-for-hire plot involving a skincare specialist, according to reports.

TMZ Sports is reporting that law enforcement officials have said that a former Lions player whose name hasn't been released but is reportedly very big in stature was hired as a hit man by skincare specialist Dawn DaLuise to kill a rival.

DaLuise was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly trying to hire someone to kill a competitor of hers in the skincare field. According to TMZ Sports, the person she contacted is an ex-NFLer who played for the Lions.

The murder plot failed as the police stepped in after an unknown source tipped them about the alleged plot and the cops intervened.

DaLuise owns a salon called Skin Refinery in West Hollywood and was jailed for allegedly plotting to have the rival killed under the grounds of solicitation to commit murder and she was being held on $1 million bail.

According to TMZ, someone with knowledge of the murder-for-hire plot told a friend about the plans before they were carried out, and that friend is the one who told the Los Angeles sheriff's department.

TMZ reports that DaLuise had celebrity clients such as Christian Slater, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Freddie Prinze Jr., Alicia Silverstone, Christina Ricci and Jennifer Aniston, while she also had a  falling out with Nicki Minaj over an eyebrow wax gone wrong.

It remains to be seen who the anonymous ex-Lions player was, but the story is still developing.
