NFL Free Agency: Quarterback rankings and Predictions. Where do Mike Vick and Mark Sanchez end up? [GIFs]

Free agency is March 11th and the glorified game of musical chairs will be as inciting as ever. Quarterback isn’t a position that usually gets much movement in free agency and with Jay Cutler resigning with the Bears the class is lack luster. The top five free agent quarterbacks and predictions:

No. 1 Josh McCown: Some would put Michael Vick in this position, but Josh McCown is this classes best quarterback. McCown is an older journeyman that found a second wind in 2013. The stats speak for themselves and McCown is now in position to cash in on a 2-year deal with a team in quarterback transition.  McCown goes from Marc Trestman to Norv Turner. Not bad for being 34 going on 35  Prediction: Vikings

No. 2 Michael Vick: The Michael Vick experience has come a long way to get to this point. Once the most exciting player in football is not a free agent and behind Josh McCown in free agent rankings. If Vick has something left in the tank he will have the opportunity to show it somewhere. San Francisco and Green Bay make sense as a backup but Vick wants to play. Prediction: Jets

No. 3 Matt Schaub: The former Falcon turned Texan savior is now out the door and looking for work. Schaub is a great veteran presence to have in the locker room and any team would be happy to have him as a placeholder. I would have had Matt Cassel to the Texans and Schaub to the Bills or Browns, but Cassel stayed in Minnesota. Schaub follows suit. Prediction: Texans

No. 4 Mark Sanchez: Sanchez is expected to be a free agent and needs a fresh start. The “Sanchise” was once the prodigy the Jets hoped could return them to the days of Broadway Joe and for awhile he did. Two AFC Championship appearances before being an exile in New York. Sanchez could find success in the right place with the right weapons. Unfortunatly, very few of those places need his services. Someone will take shot on him. Prediction: 49ers

No. 5 Josh Freeman: Freeman sat around for a calendar year and collected a huge sum of money to do nothing. While everyone thought Greg Schiano was the one who was insane, the world slowly started to realize Freeman was just as to blame for the Tampa Bay explosion. The Vikings learned their lesson and now Freeman will find work in the place that will appreciate his habit of laziness. Prediction: Raiders
