Barclays Premier League Table 2014: Updated standings, results and recaps from Week 30 [VIDEO]

A majority of the Barclays Premier League didn't feature on the weekend due to FA Cup action. The five matches that were played, however, were sufficient enough to clear the picture in the first division of English football.

Below are the fixtures and up-to-date table, complete with recaps and videos of the best moments of Week 29.

1. Chelsea: 66 points (20-3-6)
Chelsea continued to flex their league-leading muscle in Week 29. After a scoreless first half, a flurry of goals followed in the second. A Samuel Eto’o opener in the 56th minute was followed by an Eden Hazard in the 60th minute and a 60 second brace from striker Demba Ba.

2. Liverpool: 59 points (18-5-5)

3. Arsenal: 59 points (18-5-5)
Up next: A trip to Tottenham for the North London Derby on March 16.

4. Manchester City: 57 points (18-5-3)
Up next: A trip to Hull City on March 15.

5. Tottenham: 53 points (16-8-5)
It was an embarrassing defeat for Tottenham at Stamford Bridge. The 4-0 loss further separated the club from Champions League qualification.

6. Manchester United: 48 points (14-8-6) Manchester United rebounded in Week 29. A 3-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion served as a small glimmer of hope for the Red Devils. Up next: A visit from Liverpool to Old Trafford on March 16.

7. Everton: 48 points (13-5-9) Up next: A visit from Cardiff City on March 15.

8. Newcastle: 43 points (13-11-4) Up next: A trip to Fulham on March 15.

9. Southampton: 42 points (11-9-9) A first-half goal from Jay Rodriguez proved to be enough for Southampton to escape London with all three points. Up next: A visit from Norwich City on March 15.

10. West Ham United: 31 points (8-13-7) Up next: A trip to Stoke City on March 15.

11. Aston Villa: 31 points (8-13-7) Up next: A visit from Chelsea on March 15.

12. Stoke City: 31 points (7-12-10)
After falling behind early in the second half, a late Jonathan Walters penalty kick allowed Stoke City to escape Norwich with a point. Minutes later, however, Walters would be sent off with a red card. Fortunately for Irishman, Stoke managed to hold on until the final whistle.

13. Hull City: 30 points (8-14-6)

14. Swansea City: 29 points (7-13-8)
Up next: A visit from West Bromwich on March 15.

15. Norwich City: 29 points (7-14-8)
Despite piecing together 13 shots and dominating 53 percent of the ball, Norwich was unable to take three full points against Stoke City. Even with a man advantage, the Canaries finished Week 29 with a 1-1 draw.

16. Crystal Palace: 27 points (8-17-3)
Crystal Palace were outplayed before a home crowd in Week 29. The club only maintained 36 percent possession of the ball and could only muster one shot on target. As a result, the London-based club fell 1-0 to Southampton.

17. West Bromwich Albion: 25 points (4-11-13)
It was an embarrassing loss for West Bromwich in Week 29. A flurry of Manchester United goals saw the club fall 3-0 at The Hawthorns.

18. Cardiff City: 25 points (6-16-7)
The biggest winners of Week 29 were Cardiff City. The 3-1 victory over Fulham resuscitated their first-division hopes and put the club level on points with West Brom. Climbing out of the relegation zone is increasingly plausible.

Fulham’s fate was all but sealed in Week 29. A 3-1 loss to Cardiff City kept the Cottagers in the cellar of the Premier League. It’ll be an uphill battle to remain in the first division next season.
