TNA Lockdown 2014 results [VIDEO]: Team MVP defeats Team Dixie, Magnus retains title against Samoa Joe

TNA presented its Lockdown pay-per-view live from the University of Miami Sunday night, in a card that was highlighted by Magnus and Samoa Joe going one-on-one for the TNA Heavyweight Championship and Team MVP taking on Team Dixie in a Lethal Lockdown match.

In the main event of the evening, Team MVP (MVP, Jeff Hardy and The Wolves) defeated Team Dixie (Bobby Roode, Austin Aries and Bro Mans) in the Lethal Lockdown match after Ray laid Roode out and MVP hit the Yakuza Kick for the win. The show ended with Ray powerbombing Roode through a table.

Magnus defeated Samoa Joe to retain the TNA World Title via Joe's own chokehold after Abyss came out and nailed Joe with Janice and the Black Hole Slam. Following hitting the moves, Abyss smiled at Magnus while he defeated Joe in the ring.

In TNA Knockouts action, Madison Rayne defeated Gail Kim via a spear from the top n a match for the TNA Knockouts Title. Elsewhere on the pay-per-view, Gunner defeated James Storme in a Last Man Standing match after Gunner superplexed Storme through two chairs off of the top and answered the count at nine while Gunner lay prone in the ring .

In other action, Tigre Uno defeated Manik after hitting the Sabre-tooth Splash from the top while Samuel Shaw defeated Mr. Anderson after Shaw put him in the sleeper hold and escaped the cage.

The show kicked-off with six-man action as Sanada, Yasu and the Great Muta defeated Kazarian, Daniels and Chris Sabin after Sanada hit a moonsault on Daniels for the win.

TNA Lockdown established many important things as Team MVP defeated Team Dixie and Magnus beat Samoa Joe to retain his TNA World Heavyweight Championship with help from Abyss.
