The Kalamazoo Growlers of the collegiate summer baseball Northwoods League will wear a uniform made from selfies. Yes, selfies. Stefon from Saturday Night Live would be proud.
Salute to Selfie Night will occur on July 24 and honors self-taken photographs taken on smartphones and webcams. The Growlers host the Wisconsin Woodchucks in the game that is sure to become a pop-culture sensation.
The Growlers will build a unique mosaic-style jersey assembled entirely from the selfies entered in the promotion. Apparently, the fan that exhibits the most “Growlers spirit” in their photo will receive a prominent location on all jerseys.
