Steve Nash returns to Lakers after being ruled out for the season due to injuries [VIDEO]

Look who's back.

Previously ruled out for the rest of the season, Lakers guard Steve Nash returns to action on Friday for the team that has become one of the biggest disappointments this season when the Lakers play the Washington Wizards.

"I'm excited," Nash told ESPN.com. "Unfortunately I don't really know where I am because I haven't really been up and down or played or scrimmaged in five weeks, but I've tried to keep myself afloat in case the opportunity came up. I'm just going to try to get through it the best I can, contribute and not get hurt."

The Lakers' point guard woes continued with Jordan Farmar suffering a right groin strain during practice, leaving starting point guard Kendall Marshall the only one in charge of bringing down the ball. That would change with Nash back in the line-up although it remains to be seen how healthy he would be for the Lakers.

Head coach Mike D'Antoni added: "[Nash] said he feels good and he wants to try it. The biggest reason before, a big reason, was I didn't know if he could play or not. He tried, and couldn't play. But we also wanted to give time to Farmar and Kendall and make sure they got a good run."

Nash himself admitted he doesn't know how good he'll be on the floor. "I don't know how much I'll play, but I'm available and if I can just help out of the bullpen, it will be fun for me.Hopefully I can just help a little bit."
