The Chicago Bulls expect All-Star guard Derrick Rose to return to their lineup by the start of this season's playoffs, according to the New York Daily News.
Bulls coach Tom Thibideau recently told reporters he's hopeful the former league MVP will be able to get in " a couple of practices" before long as well as compete this summer for Team USA at the FIBA World Cup, but now The News adds management is even more hopeful about the 25-year-old all-star guard's prognosis.

"Oh absolutely, if he's healthy and he's cleared," Thibodeau said of the prospect of Rose taking the floor for Team USA. "I thought it was a great experience for him before. I know he'd like to do it."
Rose starred for Team USA during the summer of 2010, setting the stage for him to become the youngest MVP in league history. Currently an assistant coach for the team, Thibodeau is hopeful Rose can use this summer's training camp and series of games as a springboard to next season, as he attempts to regain his form following his second straight season-ending knee surgery.

"I think there has been great benefits from it," Thibodeau said of Rose's overall Team USA experience. "I thought that had a lot to do with him having the great year in the MVP year."
