CM Punk quits WWE [VIDEO]: 'Best in the World' completely out of communication with company, friends

If there was any hope of CM Punk coming back to the WWE, it seems to be even more of a pipe dream as the "Best in the World" has reportedly cut off all talks with the company and even some of the friends he used to hang out with in the organization.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, there has been no communication with Punk and the WWE and beyond that Punk has been completely out of communication with the people within the WWE that he has been friends with in the past, leading to the expectation that there is no way he'll be returning.

Punk's contract doesn't expire until July, however he walked out on the company on Jan. 27 prior to a live episode of Monday Night RAW on the night after the Royal Rumble and he hasn't been seen in the company since.

Punk has done some things outside of the WWE lately, including an appearance on AMC's Talking Dead a couple of weeks ago to discuss that night's episode of the ratings-hit drama The Walking Dead. Punk also appeared at a Chicago Blackhawks game when they played the Dallas Stars on Tuesday. A picture of Punk at the game can be seen here.

Punk is a Chicago native, and he miffed many people in the WWE when he opted not to show up to the episode of RAW emanating from that city on March 3. The WWE executives were put off by the fact that Punk would fly all the way to Los Angeles for Talking Dead, but couldn't be bothered to talk to management about what was bothering him during the Chicago RAW.

Punk has been vocally upset for years over his role within the company and with his contract set to expire in July and him having no intentions to sign an extension, he was hoping to main event WrestleMania XXX. At the time he stormed out, the plan was for Punk to face Triple H while Batista would take on Orton in the main event in New Orleans.

Triple H was reportedly upset about Punk not wanting to face him and the WWE ended up changing the plans and having Bryan face Triple H with the winner going into the main event. Reports have indicated that the WWE may stick Bryan into the main event as a "middle finger" to Punk for walking out since it could have been him.

Punk can't compete for any companies outside of the WWE realm until July, however it looks as though the "Best in the World" will not be returning to the WWE at all.
