The Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal war of words has been the comedic relief of TNT’s Inside the NBA for close to a season now, and Thursday night Sir Charles took to “Conan” to roast the Big Diesel.
This isn't the first time these two NBA legends have gone after each other on other media besides their own show. Shaq made a guest appearance via social media when Barkley was on the CBS At the Half and it played out very similar to Conan.
Shaq and Barkley have been a huge bright spot for TNT and their partnership has actually paid off in both a comedic standpoint and actual NBA analysis. Chemistry is a huge part of a sports season that requires people to be around each other each and every day and that is just as true in the studio as it it is on the court.
Shaq and Chuck had a rocky beginning considering their fight on the court back in 1999, but have clearly reconciled and become great friends.
The relationship that Shaq and Chuck have is one that is very seldom appreciated in the broadcasting booth and one that should be appreciated for what it is before they embark on other career paths.
