The WWE presented WrestleMania XXX live from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans tonight and the most notable finishes saw The Undertaker losing to Brock Lesnar, marking the first time he ever lost at WrestleMania while Daniel Bryan won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
In the main event, Bryan won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in a triple threat match against Batista and Randy Orton after he put on the Yes Lock and made Batista tap out. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon got involved early on in the match but were eventually taken out.
The Undertaker's legendary 21-0 undefeated WrestleMania streak came to an end after Brock Lesnar hit him with the third F-5 of the match and pinned him to put the Undertaker at 21-1 all-time at the biggest event of the year. 'Taker was met with a standing ovation after the match.
Bryan earned the right to face Batista and Randy Orton in the opening match by defeating Triple H with the Knee Plus and pinning him cleanly. Triple H attacked Bryan after the match, hitting his injured shoulder with a steel chair against the ring post.
In other action, John Cena defeated Bray Wyatt after reversing Sister Abigail and hitting the Attitude Adjustment to win the match.
WrestleMania XXX opened up with guest host Hulk Hogan coming out and hyping the show while accidentally calling the Superdome the Silver Dome. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin then came out and the two spoke about WrestleManias past. The Rock then came out and all three hyped up the show and hit their catchphrases before sharing a beer.
On the pre-show, The Usos defeated The Real Americans, Ryback and Curtis Axel and Los Matadores in a fatal four-way elimination tag team match to retain the WWE Tag Team Championships.
Los Matadores were eliminated first after Jack Swagger applied the Patriot Lock then Ryback and Curtis Axel were the next team eliminated after Cesaro hit the Neutralizer on Ryback. The Usos then defeated The Real Americans to retain the titles.
After the match, Swagger put Cesaro in the Patriot Lock until Zeb Colter broke it up. Swagger then went to shake Cesaro's hand and Cesaro knocked him down before hitting the Cesaro Swing to end the segment.
Cesaro ended up partaking in and winning the 30-man over-the-top-rope Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal by last eliminating The Big Show via a body slam over the top rope to earn the trophy. Another notable spot in the match saw Kofi Kingston go flying over the turnbuckles only to land on the steel steps to stay alive.
A.J. Lee also retained here WWE Divas Championship in the 14-Diva Vickie Guerrero Invitational.
WrestleMania XXX was a memorable and historic event for the WWE that saw Bryan win the WWE Championship and continue his meteoric rise while The Undertaker's streak came to an end.
