Miguel Cotto next fight: Peter Quillin calls out winner of Sergio Martinez fight, or Danny Jacobs [VIDEO]

Miguel Cotto is set to square off with middleweight champion Sergio Martinez on June 7, but while some have speculated a victory could land him a fight with myriad fighters a step or two below him in weight, like Canelo Alvarez, Floyd Mayweather Jr. or Manny Pacquiao, few have discussed him remaining at middleweight.

Miguel Cotto not interested in facing Manny Pacquiao again

When asked about potentially re-matching Pacman after his thorough win over Timothy Bradley, Cotto waved it off. "I'm fighting at 160 right now," Cotto said. "Manny's at 147. I'm not going back down."

While a fight with Canelo would generate a ton of money, more than perhaps any other fight available to him excluding Mayweather, a victory over Martinez could usher in a final, impressive chapter for Cotto's Hall of Fame career. The fight with Sergio offers him the opportunity to obtain his fourth championship in four weight classes, and the talent in the division could offer more belts for big money.

Cotto places faith in trainer Freddie Roach

One man who has put himself out there for Cotto, or Martinez, is Peter "Kid Chocolate" Quillin. Chocolate just wrapped up a dominant win over Lukas Konecny this past Saturday, and is ready to face big-time opponents.

"Sergio Martinez, the winner of Miguel Cotto I would like you," Quillin said post-fight. The winner of Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. vs. Gennady Golovkin, I would like to take that fight. Like I said, we're just trying to get better." Boxing politics often gets in the way of quality fights, however, and the "Cold War" between HBO and Showtime likely rules out the latter.

Also, if Canelo's interested in the winner as well, then Quillin's best option is likely Daniel Jacobs. Quillin said he's ready to face him as well. "If Danny Jacobs is on the menu let's do it," Quillin said. "As long as Al Haymon can give me the money I deserve let's do it."
