Tiger Woods Olympic gold medal-winning girlfriend has become close friends with the ex-wife he infamously cheated on in one of the biggest recent scandals in the world of sports.
UsWeekly.com reports Lindsey Vonn and Elin Norderen are now good pals after building a relationship based on the 34-year-old Nordegren wanting to know the woman who would be spending so much time with the two young children she and Woods had together during their marriage.
"After meeting her, she found she actually liked her," a source told the website of Nordegren. "You'd think it would be weird, but Elin loves Lindsey and they talk all the time. Elin likes that Lindsey is a strong woman."
Us adds the trio, along with six-year-old Sam and five-year-old Charlie, recently went on vacation together during which time the women seemed to grow even closer.
"Lindsey is really good for Tiger," the source added. "She's strong, opinionated, and keeps him in line. Elin found that they are very similar and have a lot in common. They laugh and talk like they have been girlfriends forever."

Woods and Nordegren officially divorced in 2010 after as many as a dozen women stepped forward to claim they had affairs with him. Vonn and Woods began publicly dating in 2013 and she has raved about how much he helps her with dealing with all the pressures she faces as a pro athlete.
"We're athletes, so I guess we have something in common there. We met at his charity event in Vegas, Tiger Jam, and, yeah, we were friends for a long time," Vonn recently told David Letterman. "I don't know...we just kind of relate really well to one another."
