Meanwhile, on WWE NXT this week, the action in the ring was hot and heavy and we have results from the first round matches of the NXT Women's Championship Tournament that took place at Full Sail University.

In the first match, Natalya defeated Layla in a battle between former WWE Divas Champions and true veterans. Then, it was time to showcase the next generation of WWE Divas when the aforementioned Sasha Banks took on Bayley with BFF Charlotte at ringside.
Sasha Banks wound up securing the win by making Bayley tap out after a tough-fought battle, and next week on NXT it will be Emma vs. Charlotte and Alicia Fox vs. Alexa Bliss to finish off the first round of the tournament.
As for her second round opponent, Sasha Banks will take on Natalya, which will be one of her toughest challenges to date. Good thing the BFFs are on opposite sides of the NXT Women's Tournament bracket so that if Charlotte did face off against Sasha it wouldn't be until the finals.

Of course, Nattie is as tough of an opponent as they come, so Sasha Banks will have her hands full next week even with Charlotte in her corner.
