Kurt Angle WWE Return: IOlympic Gold Medalis Suffers Major Injury, TNA Career Over? [VIDEO]

Could Kurt Angle retire from pro wrestling due to injury or leave TNA for WWE when his contract expires this Fall after recovering? Both are possibilities following last week's episode of Impact Wrestling Thursday 5/8/14 when Angle was written off TV after facing off against Ethan Carter III in a match where Angle was trying to end EC3's undefeated streak. After the match, the doctor revealed to Angle that he had suffered a torn ACL and that he would require surgery.

In real-life, Kurt Angle actually does have a torn ACL and TNAInsider.com reports that the Olympic Gold Medalist and TNA Hall of Famer will miss four to six months. The report also indicates that with Angle's TNA contract set to expire this Fall, his match with EC3 on Impact could have been his final match on Impact Wrestling.

After all, with Angle being banged up with injuries so often over the years, he could possibly end up retiring from pro wrestling. The other scenario that could play out is that after undergoing another major surgery, Angle might feel it's time to make one last run in WWE before he retires so that he can end his career on the big stage and ultimately wind up in the WWE Hall of Fame.

While Kurt Angle has been a loyal soldier to TNA over the years, the fact that he got his start in WWE and would almost certainly be inducted into their Hall of Fame has to be on his mind. Throw in the fact that if Angle does recover 100 percent from surgery, he could then go back to where it all began so that he could perform once again for the top company in the business.

Kurt Angle would get a huge response from fans across the country if he returned to WWE and since everyone across all of pro wrestling respects him, I am sure Angle would have no problem fitting back in with the WWE locker room.

Ultimately, I think Kurt Angle won't be retiring, but that second possibility of returning to WWE just might be too good of an opportunity to pass up.
