The Alabama Crimson Tide took Game 1 of the best-of-three series in 12 innings and the Corn Huskers of Nebraska are looking to rebound. Game 2 will be on ESPNU and if necessary Game 3 will air on ESPN at 9:00 PM ET.
Alabama topped Nebraska 6-5 after the Huskers held a 4-0 lead in the second. The four runs the Tide scored to tie the game all came on unearned on erros by the Nebraska defense. The win is a huge momentum swing for the Crimson Tide as they now have the opportunity to finish off Nebraska. The Crimson Tide hold home field advantage and expect a Rhoads Stadium capacity of 3,940 to be in attendance. Alabama improved to a record of 49-11 and now has two opportunities to send the 44-17 Corn Huskers home empty handed .
The other softball game on the schedule is Game 2 between the Florida State Seminoles and Michigan Wolverines in which the Wolverines hold a 1-0 led after a 17-3 win. The number three ranked Seminoles look to rebound and take the next two games agaisnt a Michigan team that is hoping they can put FSU away in game 1. That game will be aired on ESPNU at 2:00 PM ET and Game 3, if necessary, will air on ESPN at 7:00 PM ET.
