Stephen Curry Still Angry Over Mark Jackson Firing, At Odds With Warriors? [VIDEO]

All-Star point guard Stephen Curry remains perplexed by the Golden State Warriors' decision to fire coach and confidante Mark Jackson.

According to ESPN, while accepting the NBA's community assist award earlier this week Curry took the time to expound upon Jackson's recent dismissal and the team's since hiring of Steve Kerr as coach.

Stephen Curry unhappy over Mark Jackson firing

Stressing that he totally "disagreed" with Jackson's release, the sharpshooting point guard termed Kerr's hiring "semi-quick" and "kind of a shock" to most players.

Curry later also added he it all feels like a "weird, expedited situation that we didn't see coming."

After being ousted in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs, the Warriors released Jackson despite a 51-win regular season and the first-time coach having led the team to the playoffs in back-to-back seasons for the first time in nearly two decades.

Long one of Jackson's biggest public supporters, Curry has continued to express his displeasure from day one of the move and has strongly hinted he felt his coach got a raw deal. Jackson is now rumored to be a candidate for several open coaching positions, including with his hometown New York Knicks.

In the meantime, the one-time ESPN NBA analyst has rejoined the network for at least the duration of the ongoing NBA playoffs.

The Warriors inked Kerr to a five-year, $25 million deal earlier this month.
