Stephen Curry Doesn't Want Klay Thompson to Get Traded [VIDEO]

The Golden State Warriors are among the teams that are said to be in pursuit of Minnesota Timberwolves star Kevin Love, and in order to get the services of the All-Star forward the Warriors are believed to be contemplating on trading some of their young stars like shooting guard Klay Thompson.

But if you ask franchise star Stephen Curry, he'd rather have Thompson playing alongside him believing that the son of former LA Lakers star Mychal Thompson will blossom into an All-Star someday.

"I definitely want him to continue to be my backcourt mate and keep pushing," Curry told CSN Bay Area.com, "keep growing together and not to waste the nickname."

Of course, Curry is referencing to the "Splash Brothers" nickname that they have earned. The Curry-Thompson backcourt duo is feared around the league for their sharpshooting ways, and their long-distance shots have been splashing through nets around the league.

Rumors are ripe that the Warriors are looking to package Thompson in a deal for Love. Other names that are being thrown in the mix are forwards Harrison Barnes and David Lee. However, there is belief within the organization that Thompson won't be easily given away by the franchise because he is held in high esteem by CEO Joe Lacob, general manager Bob Myers and board member Jerry West.

Of course, his backcourt mate would hate to see him go to another team. Said Curry of Thompson: "He makes me better. I try to make him better. How much better he's gotten since Day 1 is kind of scary. He's such a great two-way player. He hasn't come anywhere close to hitting the ceiling."
