Will Kevin Love be with the Minnesota Timberwolves when the 2014 season starts? That's the question everyone is asking, but ask president of basketball operations, Flip Saunders, and you get a very straightforward answer. Saunders believes Love will be with the T-Wolves this season and is in the teams future plans.
At a meeting to evaluate incoming rookies, Saunders spoke about the possibility of keeping Love and continuing the rebuild with him.
"The last I knew Kevin was under contract with us, and I expect him to be playing for us next year," Saunders said Sunday "I don't really dictate where guys go on vacation or what they do. They can go wherever they want to go.”
When asked about the level of interest Love is generating, Saunders was very clear that there have been plenty of phone calls.
"I know there's a feeding frenzy out there from a lot of teams," Saunders said. "Unfortunately, they have no say. I plan on Kevin being here.”
Love was spotted visiting Boston the get familiar with the city, which forced the rumor mill to spin. The Celtics are a rumored destination for Love as he seeks to exit Minnesota, but would Boston part with all the pieces the Timberwolves want?
